Reclaiming Lost Spirit
Part Two: The Asuras
"When I visited the Void to separate Lucifer from myself, I discovered what I believed to be the source of the earlier trouble between the Mother and me. In the Void were beings who were there because they wanted only oblivion. The Asuras, as they're called, appeared to me as a swarm of huge winged creatures with grotesque, spindly bodies that were shiny black resembling very large, elongated skeletons of bats."With intense hatred they complained bitterly that their slumber in oblivion had been disturbed by my presence here now, and earlier by the pulsing of my Light and the movements of the magnetic essence. They let me know that they were here because they wanted only death and oblivion. They represented the opposite of everything I later came to know as 'good'. I also learned later that they were the antithesis of all the fundamental qualities in Grandfather's original, perfect Creation.
"When Grandfather chose to have only life, love, beauty, harmony, and goodness in his Creation, he had to find a place for the qualities that were necessary to balance these. In order for a thing to exist, its opposite must also exist somewhere to balance it. 'Up' without 'down' is impossible, and so is 'good' without 'evil'. In the void Grandfather placed all of the beings who embodied the antithesis of his Creation. They wanted oblivion, so he denied them existence.
"The 'Asuras', as they've become known, are spirits of denial. They deny life, love, beauty, harmony and goodness. They seek death, and they hate everything that keeps them from their deepest desire of permanent oblivion. They exist on every level of Creation, including the physical where they manifest as viruses and cancers. Their strategy is to find their death and oblivion through the destruction of the environment that keeps them alive.
"They were awakened from what they had thought was an eternal sleep when the magnetic essence moved and I responded. They attached themselves to the sense of annoyance in my Light, and they brought their attitude with them. Their message was, "You have disturbed me, and now I must kill you." Although I wasn't aware that I was sending this message, this is what Desire received when she first received my Light.
"I had been unaware of their existence until I met them in the Void. This was the place Grandfather had found for them. They could not be part of his perfect Creation because they did not want to be there. He created eternal life for all who wanted it, the Asuras wanted death and oblivion. He had it so that love would reign, and they could only hate. He created beauty, harmony and goodness. They wanted destruction. He determined their right place to be the Void, because there they could find what they truly wanted, non-existence and oblivion. He did this in the early stages of his Creation, before there was any thought of another Creation.
"When the Mother and I first emerged as separate essences, we came into being out of the Void, the Asuras' home, and of course the very place they were certain to be undisturbed. For a very long time I was perplexed by what seemed to be impossible encounters with pure evil. I know now that there was no other way for something new to exist, outside of Grandfather's Creation.
"We had to come out of the Void, and in doing so, we disturbed the 'uns' of Grandfather's Creation. Once disturbed, they were fierce and vicious, and of course they still are. They believe the only way back to their beloved oblivion is to tear down and destroy the Creation whose activities destroyed their resting place.
"We have inherited Grandfather's denial spirits, and they hate us for being here. And now we must find a new right place for them. It's not here. This Creation, and the ones that will follow it, have a different program. Like Grandfather's Creation, ours will be one of life and love, beauty and freedom.
"Unlike Grandfather's Creation, however, ours will not be perfect, so we will go on endlessly evolving. And best of all, we'll be here in physical form to do it. The beings of hate and denial do not want to be here with us, they want the oblivion that Grandfather had promised them. True healing requires that there be a complete separation between us and the Asuras.
"Now, you might ask how wholeness is to be achieved if something is left out. This is a good question and it leads to the most crucial understanding of all. Wholeness has an opposite, and it's opposite must also exist if wholeness does. Fragmentation is the opposite of wholeness. With only one whole being, fragmentation has been necessary for the existence of any other beings.
Cosmic Loneliness"The impetus for Grandfather and the original Mother to spawn another Creation was their sense of aloneness. When they had achieved perfection in complete union, they were one being, and they were alone. 'One is the loneliest number,' says one of your songs. And this is true.
"Grandfather and the original Mother have found a solution to their isolation. The Mother of this Creation and I are the beginning of it. And you who are in physical existence are the next stage of it. The plan, of course, is that Deity have peers. Deity fragmenting so that parts of us could have separate existence has been only a step in the process. Fragmentation is not the solution to cosmic loneliness. Wholeness of separate beings is.
"Although I didn't know it at the time, my fragmentation into Lucifer and Ahriman were part of the plan Grandfather and Grandmother had created as a correction to the perfection of their original Creation. Another part of the plan is my eventual redemption of both Lucifer and Ahriman, and then the consummation of complete union with the Mother and all of her essence.
"Redemption means that I redeem and own for myself all of their essence, qualities, traits and behaviors. No more projection, no more separation of being. Redemption also means that as I take responsibility for their actions, I also reclaim their power as my own. The Spirit polarity will be united, with neither Ahriman nor Lucifer at the head. The Godhead is my right place.
"My shadow, Ahriman, has been at the Godhead for a long time. As I told you, he's a clever devil, and one of his deceptions has been to get us all to believe that Lucifer has some kind of mysterious magic powers that enable him to run everything. It's actually Ahriman who has collected all the power on Earth, and part of how he's done it has been to hide his existence and make us think it was all Lucifer's doing.
"Unlike Lucifer, the source of Ahriman's power has not been in his co-option and undermining of the Mother essence. Rather it's been in his alliance with the Asuras. When I left the Void, after separating Lucifer from myself, part of Ahriman stayed behind and bargained with the Asuras. He told them that he had the power of God, and with this power he would help them destroy Creation so they could resume their eternal slumber, never to be disturbed again. They agreed to follow and serve him, and they're known now as Satan and his legions of demons."
